Membership Terms & Policies

The Oxford Club, Spa & Salon (“Club”) has adopted Membership Policies (“Policies”) and rules pertaining to use of the Club, including rules listed herein and rules posted in the Club, (“Rules”) to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment in which to exercise and participate in other Club activities. By signing below you agree to be bound and abide by such Policies and Rules, all of which are a part of your Membership Agreement (“Agreement”). All members are required to be polite, thoughtful, and observe the Policies and Rules as in effect from time to time. The Club may, in its sole discretion, amend the Policies and Rules from time to time without prior notice. It is your responsibility to know and follow the most current Policies and Rules.

The following Policies and Rules replace all prior Policies and Rules. If there is any conflict between  these Policies and Rules and those posted in the Club, the more stringent Policy or Rule shall apply.

CHECK-IN
Prior to using the Club facilities, you must check in at the front desk and present your membership card and photo ID. For the safety and security of all Club members, the access code for the Club’s locker rooms will be changed monthly. In order to be given the new access code, you must present your membership card and photo ID.

USE OF CLUB FACILITIES
Availability of Facilities. All Club facilities and services including, but not limited to, classes, equipment, Spa services, Salon services, aesthetician and nail services, and steam rooms may have limited hours, be discontinued altogether at anytime, or be offered on a ''first-come first-served" basis. The Club reserves the right to charge a separate participation or reservation fee for any or all of these facilities or services. Use of Club facilities and services is authorized and limited pursuant to your Agreement.

Conflicts Regarding Use. Please do not linger on the equipment because other members may want to use it. No member should monopolize the equipment or weights. If there is a sign-up list for use of the equipment and a maximum time limit on its use, the directions for signing up and use limitations are part of the Rules and all members are required to follow them. In short, observe gym etiquette. If there is a conflict over use, please report the conflict to Club management for resolution.

Weights and Other Equipment. There are specific Rules posted regarding use of the weights and other equipment and members are expected to follow them. As a courtesy, please re-rack the weights after you use them and wipe down any benches and other equipment after your use.

No Solicitation. The Club is for the private use of Club members only and is not open to the public. Any solicitation within the Club is absolutely forbidden. This includes, for example: solicitation for profit, political purposes, or any other reason; use of petitions; distributing or posting leaflets, notices, or advertising anywhere in the Club; and leaving multiple copies of leaflets or other papers in the Club.

Minors Under 18. Persons under the age of eighteen (18) may not use the Club facilities at any time and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times when in the Club. Children over six years old are not permitted in the locker rooms designated for use by the opposite sex of the child.

DRESS I TOWEL POLICY
You must wear appropriate clothing and footwear while using the Club facilities. The general guidelines are gym shorts, T-shirts, jogging, aerobic, and sweat outfits are acceptable for exercising and fitness classes, but street clothes/shoes and jeans are not. No street or black-soled shoes are permitted. You must have a towel with you during workouts to protect and clean the equipment you use.

CONDUCT
The Club does not permit and will not tolerate any inappropriate conduct. Such conduct includes, without limitation, using loud, abusive, offensive, insulting, or demeaning language, profanity, lewd conduct, or any other conduct that harasses or is bothersome to members, guests, or Club associates. Cell phone usage is not permitted in the locker rooms, and cell phone conversations are not permitted in workout areas. Prohibited conduct also includes, without limitation, leaving trash, used grooming/hygiene products, and dirty clothes on counters and the floor. All members are expected to clean up after themselves in the locker rooms and follow appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards.

LOCKERS
The Club is not responsible for any loss or theft of members’ personal property. The Club provides keypad lockers for members to use to secure belongings while working out in the Club and has some lockers available for members to reserve on an annual basis. If your locker membership account is more than 30 days delinquent, the Club may consider your property abandoned and has the right to discard your items.

RESTROOM AND LOCKER ROOM ACCESSIBILITY-TRANSGENDER EQUAL OPPORTUNITY POLICY
All members shall have access to the restroom and locker room facilities that correspond to the member's gender identity, regardless of the member's sex assigned at birth. For example, transgender women (who were born male but identify as female) are permitted to use the women's facilities, and vice versa for transgender men. Each member should determine the most appropriate option for her/himself. Any member who believes that he/she is/has been treated unfairly under any of the above Equal Opportunity policies should report the matter to Club Management.

HARASSMENT
We are committed to providing an environment that is free from disrespectful and offensive behavior for all of our members and guests. We strictly prohibit harassment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, ancestry, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristics protected under federal, state, or local law. Sexual harassment is specifically prohibited. Sexual harassment consists of unwelcome sexual advances or other verbal or physical conduct or communication of a sexual nature or conduct directed against an individual due to his or her gender.

If you believe that you have been the victim of sexual harassment or other harassment, you are expected to report the harassment to a Club manager or supervisor. Where a member or guest is determined to have harassed another member, guest, or Club associate, the Club will take action reasonably calculated to end the harassment. The Club may seek legal redress, including attorneys’ fees and costs, against any member or guest who causes the Club to incur any expense or liability as a result of prohibited behavior.

PROHIBITED ITEMS AND ACTIVITIES
No Alcohol, Drugs, or Smoking. Members are not permitted to engage in any activity at the Club while under the influence of illegal drugs, alcohol, or marijuana as such term is defined by Colorado statute. The Club does not permit smoking, alcohol, marijuana, or illegal drugs in the Club.

No Weapons. No weapons of any kind are permitted in the Club.

Photographs. Taking photos or filming of others is not permitted without their prior knowledge and consent, and under no circumstances is any photography or filming permitted within the restrooms, locker rooms, steam room, or sauna.

Food and Beverages. The Club reserves the right to limit the consumption of food and beverages in workout areas.

Personal Training. No member may train another member for compensation. If the Club determines that such training has occurred, the trainer and/or trainee may lose their membership.

Outside Equipment. The Club has the right, in its sole discretion, to limit or restrict the use of outside equipment in the Club.

VIOLATION OF POLICIES OR RULES
If any member violates any of the Policies or Rules, the Club may ask that member to stop the violation and/or leave the Club. A member's violation of any of the Policies or Rules will also permit the Club, in  its sole discretion, to terminate that member’s membership and/or other applicable agreements.

CANCELLATION
Unless terminated by the Club as set forth in this Agreement, this Agreement will automatically renew on a month-to-month basis until the Club receives from you written notice of cancellation. Such cancellation will be effective on the last day of the month in which the cancellation notice is received by the Club.
*All membership fees must be brought current and all property belonging to the Club must be returned at the time of cancellation.

LATE PAYMENT
If any monthly fee becomes more than 10 days past due, the Club has the right to terminate your membership in its sole discretion.

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
The club urges you and all members to obtain a physical examination from a doctor before using any exercise equipment or participating in any exercise class. All exercises, including the use of weights and use of any and all machinery, equipment, and apparatus designed for exercising shall be at your sole risk. You understand that the agreement to use, or the selection of exercise programs, methods, and types of equipment shall be your entire responsibility, and the club shall not be liable for any injuries (including death), damages, or losses resulting therefrom. You hereby voluntarily agree to waive, forever release and discharge, hold harmless, defend, and indemnify at the club, it's owners, officers, agents, and employees from and agains any and all claims, demands, personal injuries, property damage, wrongful death, loss of services or wages, damages, actions or causes of action whatsoever arising out of or connected with your use of the services, equipment, and/or facilities of the club.
